Happy Memorial Day!

And Happy Sneak Peek Day #3! Hope it's been a wonderful long weekend for all of you. Yesterday my DH took the boys to Grandma's house so I had the whole day alone to stamp!!!!! It was my Mother's Day gift which I thoroughly enjoyed...thanks guys! Anyway, here is my last preview to show, a set by Clear Dollar Stamps called Gone Fishin'. If you are in need of a masculine set, this is the one! I heat embossed the basket on water color paper and used my Tombow markers on it. The ribbon is vanilla grosgrain that I pleated then sewed into place. What do you think of those fabulous fish hook eyelets? They are so fun! My colors were inspired from the embossed fish DSP - Always artichoke, Ripe olive (from the new Clearly Coordinating Line at CDS being released tomorrow), and So saffron.
And here is the other image in the set that I water colored with Tombow markers. Colors include, from CDS, Mossy woods, Pineapple twist, and watercolor paper. The DSP is by Pink Paislee called Queen Bee. The grosgrain ribbon is Mud Pie, again from CDS's new Rustic Fall line. A few copper brads and I'm done. You're not done though, you have more fabulous projects to see right here:

Sneak Peeks Again Today!!

If you liked yesterday's sneak peeks, wait till you see today's...they're wonderful!!!!! I almost gave you a sneak peek of a sneak peek - late (and I mean late) last night I was just about ready to publish my post when I realized, I was showing the wrong stamp set, it isn't scheduled to be previewed until tomorrow!!!!!!!!!! Well, needless to say, I was happy I discovered my near mistake, but too tired to fix it all. So now I'm late...oh well, such is life!!! On to the stamp sets -- this adorable set is called Mushroom Whimsey. This set is so full of possibilities for cuteness!! This mushroom top I paper pieced.
Now this mushroom top is a separate stamp -- too cute! The scrap DSP I found in my scrap bin provided the inspiration for this card. The orange polka dotted layer is actually the back of the same paper! And I still have some leftover!!! You really must check out my fellow DT'ers for some real inspiration:
Now I was all over this set, called Scripture Children. I love silhouette stamps, and these adorable children and sentiments are a must have for your stamp collection! Again, scrap DSP was used along with my favorite brown and any other colors! I had the flower embellishment by K & Co. in my stash for quite sometime, so why not put it out now!

With summer comes all the patriotic holidays, so I wanted to do a red, white, and blue card. Alright, so I used vanilla instead of white, but you catch my drift! Sweet and simple, with the beautiful beaded flower brad sent to me by my friend Melissa. This stamp set is being previewed by these talents, so go take a look:

Don't Worry Bee Happy

This is my second post for today, but I had to show this to you. I have missed playing along with the Sweet Sketch Wednesday Sketch Challenge. It's always a fun sketch and this week is not exception. Hopefully I'll stay on track to play! Anyway, I used the Garden Party Critters stamp set by Taylored Expressions. What an adorable set! Also all my papers came from the Garden Party Project Pantry Kit also by Taylored Expressions. You can catch a glimpse of the sparkle I added to the bees' wings. Thanks so much for stopping by. The Clear Dollar Stamps sneak peeks will be continuing the next two days so be sure and come back!! Happy holiday weekend!

How Would You Like a Little Peek?

Sneak peeks have started for Clear Dollar Stamps! And you can get your hands on these wonderful stamp sets June 1st! This set is called Jesus is Knocking. I wanted to show a simple and quick way of using this main image without completely coloring it in. I simply stamped it and added color with a little watercoloring with the same ink. I then went to two of the previously released lines of Clearly Coordinating cardstock and Cosmo Cricket's Material Girl DSP. And the satin ribbon is the Tangelo Smoothie from CDS. I've gotta say, I love that satin ribbon!!!!!
Now with this card I'm using several of the soon to be released Clearly Coordinating line called Rustic Fall. Check out Lori's blog to see this, my favorite color group. Cardstock includes Pucker up, Wild ginger and Hot cocoa along with the Worn parchment satin ribbon (told you I love satin ribbon!!) Of course it made a trip thru the sewing machine as well as some pearls!!! Another two faves of mine!!!!! Now if you want to see some other beauties using this set, check 'em out here:

Swimming Mallard

Mondays and Fridays I am off during the day. Today I FINALLY had some time to be in my stamp room...and what fun I had!! This card is for a dual challenge - OWH Sunday Sketch and Dare U 2 Digi Stamp, one for the boys. I used Clear Dollar Stamps' Swimming Mallard digi image, coloring it in with my copic markers. I've had this sampling of DSP for quite some time now, so why not use it! Cardstock colors include Rich razzleberry, Tempting turquoise, White and Green galore. I had to sponge around the edges of the duck and sentiment with a little Creamy caramel to tone down the harsh white. I added a little bling with the rhinestones, but not too much since it is meant for "one of the boys!"

A Warm and Quick Hello

I needed to get a quick "Hello" card mailed off this morning...and with the stack of DSP scraps I have collecting on my paper cutter, I figured I might as well make up something right from there! This card literally all comes from the scrap bin. I did have to dress it up a bit by hitting it with the sewing machine and adding some ribbon and rhinestones. The sentiment is by Penny Black. Now off in the mail it goes!!!!!!! Hope you are all having a wonderful Monday!

What a Week!!

This is the first card in quite a while I've gotten done!!! Just not a lot of free time! It's a dual blog challenge card - Sentimental Sundays (New Beginnings) and the Sweet Sunday Sketch. As you can see, I went with a new baby for my "new beginnings." I used two PaperTrey Ink sets, Bitty Baby Blessings and Inside and Out: Baby. So much fun, I could use this sketch over and over again! Back to work on my Clear Dollar Stamps sneak peeks too. So much fun, so little time to enjoy it all!!!!!

You Rock

It's amazing how distorted colors can be when a flash is used. It was such a dreary day though I didn't have much choice. This card is for my brother-in-law's birthday this week. I had some time before leaving for an appointment so quick it had to be! I used the set Your My Hero from Taylored Expressions and the Rock Star Key Ingredients Kit. Not sure what he'll think of the glitter brads, but it just doesn't matter because I got the card done and on time!!!

Patriotic Whimsy

I seemed to have drifted away from doing blog challenges - my intentions are good but by the time the evening comes and things have settled down, I've lost my mojo. Well I don't know if it came back but I did get a quick card done. I used the sketch from OWH Stars and Stamps for my inspiration. I also went with the colors posted for the Just Us Girls challenge, Red, White, Blue and Kraft (optional). I pulled out some of my CTMH purchases - Whimsical Wings stamp set and Blue Ribbon paper packet. I did some sewing around the DSP and added some twine and pearls. Told you it was quick and easy card. Inside sentiment says "Just wanted to say hi." Now I must get to the grocery store (the yucky part of my day) then out to lunch with the girls to celebrate a birthday. That's the part I'm looking forward to!!!!! Have a wonderful day yourself!

Digital Release

Clear Dollar Stamps is releasing five new digital sets today that you really have to check out!!! Talk about adorable!!! For my first card I used the Hoppy Log digi with that super cute bunny! I used my copics for color and scraps of designer paper and cardstock. Had to add some bling with the butterfly embellishment and rhinestones.
Now this digi is a goodie in more ways than one...first of all, ain't it sweet!!!! And second, IT'S FREE with any purchase!!!!! Yes, you heard right, it's a freebie. You'll find it on Lori's blog and can download it absolutely free! Once again I used my copic markers, highlighting the strawberry with a little swipe of the white gel pen and covering it with shiny Crystal Effects. There are more digi samples that you must see so check 'em out here:

A Friend and A Triple Challenge

WooHoo, I got a card done today!! After two loads of laundry, changing the sheets on the beds (one of the big reasons for all that extra laundry!!), taking care of some phone calls and weeding, I'm surprised I'm still standing!! Anyway, like I said, this card covers three challenges -- Just For Fun Color Challenge of Blue, Green and Orange, Sentimental Sundays for the someone special, and Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge. I usually try to keep it to two challenges, but this one fell right into place with the three! My colors are Chocolate chip, Olive green, Bashful blue, and Pumpkin pie. The stamp set is by Gina K Designs called Tree Silhouettes. I stamped the trees onto watercolor paper with Memento rich cocoa ink then used a wet sponge to apply the green, blue and caramel inks. I came back with a dry sponged inked up in the same green and blue and hit the colors again for some added visual texture. The rhinestones didn't come out true to color on the picture, they are by Kaiser Crafts and are orange. Thanks for stopping by. Have yourself a great weekend. If you're looking for my Clearly Inspired Challenge card just scroll down to the next post.

It's All About Flowers!

After all, that is what April showers bring!!! This is my card for the Clearly Inspired Challenge. I used the Pansy stamp set from Clear Dollar Stamps. I stamped the flower several times, cutting out parts of the flower to pop up. Love the look, however, I have a hard time photographing it...use your imagination!!! I used some of the Basic Grey Kioshi DP scraps I had laying around. The colors of cardstock I used were Elegant eggplant, Apricot appeal, and Cotton Candy, part of the Spring Whispers Clearly Coordinating line found at Clear Dollar Stamps. The embellishments are pearls and rhinestones by Basic Grey. Now let's see what you come up with using flowers as your theme. If you have Clear Dollar Stamps, use 'em, we'd love to see what you do with them. If not, still play along and have fun!

Enjoy

Enjoy the snow??????? Oh bother!!!!! This card is for this week's Featured Stamper challenge over on SCS. Michelle (aka Eliotstamps) has a beautiful gallery so you really must go check it out. I chose this card to case. I loved the simplicity of it. I can also see why she did it for a VSN challenge, it was quick and easy to make!!!!! I changed up the colors - inspired by a blog challenge I saw a couple weeks ago and never participated in - Basic grey, Tempting turquoise and white. The color challenge also asked for orange which I used only in the ribbon (Dusty durango). I used the Bold Snowflake wheel by SU and the sentiment from Papertrey Ink's set Spiral Bouquet. Loved the white on white effect of the snowflake embossed layer. A simple touch of a snowflake charm and this card is complete. This might need to become my Christmas card this year, changing up the colors for fun!

You're My Wild One!

Another dual challenge card. I am having a blast combining challenges, but I'm trying to keep it to only two. That means more cards to make!!!!! This one starts with the fabulous Sweet Sketch Wednesday (I can't believe it took me this long to play these sketch challenges!), and the theme challenge over at OWH Stars and Stamps, Wild Thing (a card featuring a wild animal). I used the stamp set created by Wendy Hall for Clear Dollar Stamps called Jungle Fever. I'm rather partial to tigers, so this was perfect. I smudged this poor tiger's face when stamping, so I stamped it a second time, used my copics, cut out the face and popped it up over the original tiger. I used my most recent Key Ingredients from Taylored Expressions for all my papers. The kit contains Cosmos Crickets Material Girl, not exactly papers for a wild animal theme. It is a challenge though, so why not!!!!! LOL!!! I used some ribbon and buttons that are in the kit. What a great day when a card can get made! Have a wonderful rest of the weekend!
