A Tuesday Morning Sketch...On Sunday

Story of my life. I've actually had this card done and photographed, it's simply impossible for me to find a free computer in this house!!! If you can believe it, we have 3 and they are always in use. Even my little netbook!!! Shouldn't complain because they are being used for homework. Anyway, here's my fun, fast card for the Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge. I simply pulled papers out of my scrap bin until I found a combo that worked. I may actually have to make several of these because it was quick, easy, and used a tiny amount of scraps that I am forever trying to get rid of!!!!!!! The butterflies are Martha Stewart punches and the sentiment flag is a stamp set and die by Lil' Inker Designs. I have used this die A LOT because I can never get those little corners cut evenly. And the stamp set is so fun with wonderful phrases and flag outlines.

Even though it's almost 1am, I'm still wide awake. I might pop in a movie - we watched Iron Man 2 last nite (finally) and I loved it. Tonight, Julie and Julia. None of the boys want to watch it with me so I am on my own. Mmmmmm, I can almost smell the popcorn!!!

A Turtle Happy Birthday Greeting

Having been away last week I almost forgot how to stamp.....almost!!!! I love the sketches each Sunday at Operation Write Home, and this one is no exception. I used to digital stamp from Clear Dollar Stamps called Turtle Greetings because I needed a birthday card! That and the fact that I adore these little guys!!!! I'm also submitting this for the Color Dare challenge of Daffodil delight (see that skinny piece of ribbon on top of the white, that's daffodil delight!), Old olive, and Night of navy. Perfect colors for a cute little turtle. I had to play with my new lacy nesties too, aren't they fabulous??!!

Have a wonderful Friday. Please be sure and head over to the Clear Dollar Stamps blog Clearly iStamp, day 2 of sneak peeks is going on and you won't want to miss them.

It's a Sneak Peek Day!

And sneak peeks have begun today for Clear Dollar Stamps. These stamp sets that we are previewing will be available November 1st. Every month Lori has a Value Verse stamp, and this month it's 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. I used some CTMH papers from a kit that were within arms reach. The flowers are a variety of dies and punches, some put to use for the very first time!! You might want to check out these two fabulously talented ladies' blogs for other samples using this set:

Also be sure and check out Lori's blog, Clearly iStamp for a look at all the stamps and samples of today's sneak peeks.

A Sweet Christmas Wednesday

Happy Wednesday everyone!!! Wow, was it ever windy last night! And talk about rain!!!The electricity was out for about 30 minutes, so Phillip studied by candlelight! But today is a new day and the sun is trying to shine. And since it's Wednesday you know what that means, it's a Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge day. Fun sketch, don't you think?! Now get your challenge hat on and play along because we have a wonderful sponsor.
Digi Doodle Shop is a fun place to shop. Such wonderful designs. The winner this week will receive a $10 gift certificate to shop away!!! Be sure and leave a comment on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday blog to be eligible to win.

Here's my card, using the image Nativity Scene. I absolutely love this image!!! I used my Copic markers on it, as well as a nestie to cut it out. Again, non-traditional Christmas colors as well. The sentiment comes from Clear Dollar Stamps' Our Saviour's Birth set. Please be sure and check out the rest of the DT creations here using this sketch. You will be so inspired.

Just a Tease

I had to tease you with some Disney photos!!! Phillip and I had a wonderful time! My taekwondo events (the working part of this vacation) went very well. This first photo is from the balcony of our resort, Animal Kingdom Lodge.
We spent a lot of time at Epcot. Here's Phillip in front of Spaceship Earth.

And of course, it's Cinderella's castle. Talk about magnificent. We may have to go back again next year!!!

Mickey Mouse Says Hello!

If all goes as planned, when you read this post I will be in Disneyworld on a working vacation. The weather forecast calls for sun and 85+ temps...I think I can handle that!!! And here's something I know you can handle, a new Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Arlana created this sketch that is sure to get your mojo up and running.
And we are blessed to have sponsoring us this week Sally Ann from Digi Stamp Boutique. Thank you Sally Ann for your generosity, not only for the images for the Design Team, but for offering a prize of 6 FREE DIGI IMAGES!!!

Now I got Becky at Christmas and had such a fun time using her with this sketch. I made her kitty grey with stripes, just like my Mojo!!! I added some sparkle to the ornaments as well. I thought how fun it would be to not use Christmas themed papers, so I went with Pink Paislee's Bayberry Cottage. After all, I've had this paper pad for quite some time and figured I should start using it!!!!!
I don't have my laptop with me, so like I said, I will fill you in on all the happenings here in sunny Florida when I get home. Have a wonderfully sweet Wednesday.

Oh Bother!

Oh bother, a famous line by Winnie the Pooh...and Tuesday Phillip and I leave for Disney!!! I've been extremely busy at work, and very stressed with everything! As I was laying in bed last night I realized I never posted these projects, so here they are. These cards were made with digis from Clear Dollar Stamps. I can't say enough about the cuteness and value of these digis! Give 'em a try and you'll be hooked. This card made use of the What a Pane set, a set of 4 images and 5 sentiments. I simply had to use to one with the owl, he's my favorite!!!
Patchpal Scarecrow is where you'll find this festive fall kitty. Copic markers, a nestie, some paper, ribbon and rhinestones and he is on his way to wishing someone a happy fall! I love the versatility of digitals, plus the fact you get them right away with no shipping cost! Check out the entire line of digital images at Clear Dollar Stamps right here. Some are even pre-colored - talk about a huge time saver!!!
Enjoy your day. I'm off to get more laundry going then start packing. I am not taking the lap top so I will tell you all about my working vacation when we get home.

Take a Look!!!

It's that time of the month to look forward to!!!!! It's the digital release time at Clear Dollar Stamps. Today and tomorrow I will show you the cards I created using these wonderful images. First is the Snow Crocus, free with any purchase for the month of October (be sure and grab it up!). I love seeing these beautiful flowers popping up through the snow, letting us know spring is on its way. I tried planting them, however the deer ate them all up, so I have to admire them in photos. Something else to admire are the other DT members previewing this digi, so go check 'em out:

This next card makes use of the super fun Eclectic Teapots set. This is definitely a must have because you will want to create with each of the four teapots in the set...they are fabulous!!! I went with the flower teapot, adding color with copics and shine with some Crystal Effects on the flowers themselves. Be sure and get this or any CDS digital set and get creative. Be sure and post your project onto the CDS blog, Clearly iStamp, for your chance at winning a free digi!!! Fun, fun, fun!!! Here are links to the DT who also have samples to show using Eclectic Teapots:

Witches Brew

The internet is a wonderful thing...when it's working!!!!!!! What grief I've been going thru since last nite trying to get this posted!!! Well, here I am now, wishing you all a Happy Wednesday and welcome to our Sweet Wednesday Sketch! Isn't it great!!!!! Our fabulously creative sketch designer, Arlana, keeps comin' up with some goodies!

And speaking of goodies, our sponsor this week, Sassy Cheryl's, is offering the winner of our sketch challenge a $5 gift certificate to her store!!!!! Now how sweet is that!!!!!

I was thrilled when I received this awesome image to use, Witches Brew. How spooky, in a whimsical sorta way!!!!! I used my copic markers in my favorite Halloween colors and used some new DSP I recently purchased. As for the brads, they are sparkly black, and strategically placed to cover up a copic smudge!!! Mistakes are always a reason to embellish!!!! Take a moment to check out all the DT cards because they are fabulous and sure to inspire! Have a great day!

Get Well Soon

I decided to play along with the Featured Stamper Challenge over at SCS today. I decided to case this card from Jenn's gallery. I added an additional layer to the card since clean and simple is new and foreign to me!!! The colors are very similar, Chocolate chip, Baja breeze (both from Stampin' Up) and Pucker Up (from Clear Dollar Stamps). I needed a get well card so I used the set Tea For Two by PaperTrey Ink. I added two scoring lines above and below the sentiment using my Scor-Pal. The ribbon is actually cream, but looks white in the photo.

The countdown has begun...9 days till we leave for Disney World!!! Actually, it's just Phillip and I that are going, and it will be a working vacation for me. I asked Phillip to go with me to keep me company, and, as you could imagine, he was happy to go with his Mom! Meantime, I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row before we leave...and there are a lot of ducks that need lined up!!! Wish me luck.

Be Merry

Wahoo, it's Wednesday!!!! And it can mean only one thing, a new challenge from Sweet Sketch Wednesday. I know I say it every week, but I love this sketch! I know I will be going back to this one time and time again!!! You want to know what else is sweet? Our sponsor this week, Di's Digi Downloads!!!!!

Play along with us this week and you could be the winner of 5 digis from Di's Digi Downloads!!! Be sure and follow along with the rules found on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday blog to be eligible for this fabulous prize. And I want to thank Diane for her generosity with her images for the DT to play with!!!

I used this cutie bear image called Holly Christmas. I used my copics on him and a lot of the colorless blender to achieve the "furry" look of his face. I hit up a stash of SU DSP and used Ruby red and Sahara sand for cardstock. The snowflakes are from the dollar bin...they are fun foam and covered in glitter. I simply added the buttons. The sentiment is from a TAC set of words that I always keep close at hand at my desk. Thanks for stopping by. Please be sure and leave some love with the other DT members, it's one of the rules to be selected for the winner of this challenge...and believe me, you want to be the winner!!!!!

Wishing You Sunshine

No sunshine forecasted here for the next couple of days. With the cooler temps, fall is definitely upon us. I've been wanting to get a card off to a friend of mine who has been going thru some rough times right now, so today I finally did. I used the sketch from Clean & Simple Stamping and really lovin' the layout. I went thru the stack of scrapbooking projects I had purchased with good intentions of turning them into layouts. At least they're getting put to use! The sentiment (which is the only stamping on the card...GASP!) is from PaperTrey Ink's Scattered Showers set. The flower is by Jolee's. A quick handwritten note inside and in the mail it goes. I hope it will make her smile.

Candy Cane Christmas

Christmas would not be complete without the candy cane! I used the awesome Critter Sketch Challenge for the layout and the Candy Cane Poem digital stamp from Clear Dollar Stamps. I am not much of a "cutter-outer" but this took no time at all. I found some DSP by My Mind's Eye that was perfect with it's red and white candy cane stripes.

I should head off to bed, work in the morning. Then I plan on stamping the rest of the day away...after hitting the grocery store, doing laundry, and some cleaning! We got Iron Man 2 from Netflix, maybe I can talk the boys into watching it with me. Well, there goes my stamping time!!!

Colors of cardstock include Lovely lilac, Pumpkin pie, White, Black and Cotton candy. Now pull our your CDS stamps and play along!! They just had a new release so be sure and check it all out here. Have a great weekend.
