Much Obliged

It's the last Wednesday of the month so we have a twisted challenge for you at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. Now hopefully you're a better player than I am as you'll see, I didn't follow the rules of the twist exactly as they should be! Always the rebel!!!

We're having fun this week with the wonderful free images over at Free Dearie Dolls Digital Stamps. I spent a long time going thru Mary Ellen's site. Thanks for all the wonderful free images!!

Our twist this week is to use the above sketch AND tic-tac-toe. Easy enough you say...only if you print it off or write it down will it work right!!!!

In my mind I had button (the horse's eye), sentiment and designer paper. Too bad they weren't in a row like the way you're supposed to play tic tac toe!! Oh well, what can I say...except OOPS!!! Please join us this week for some twisted fun at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

Keeping the clean and simple vibe I've come to embrace. Join us for some embossing fun and, while you're at it, get a head start on your Christmas cards!! The fun can be found at the Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge.

Spring

This was definitely "one of those days." Things happening all day long with not much to show for it! And it's still not over!!!! Need to get in some of my exercises yet! Well I did create this very simple card, using the April 2014 Stamp of the Month, Spring Medley, found at From the Heart. I've had this beautiful image colored for two weeks now, but just now getting around to making something with it. Sounds like I've been having "one of those months!!" But hey, the Pens won tonight, so I'm happy!!! Let's go Pens!!!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! Hard to believe it's here. Believe me when I say spring has been long awaited for, and I'm so happy to see the sunshine. We are having a clean and simpleEaster challenge over at The Outlawz. I pulled out some dies that I haven't used in forever starting with the bunny and clouds. Mmmmmm, chocolate bunnies...so delicious! I ALWAYS start by biting off the ears first! The grass is actually a punch, found buried in the depths of my punch drawer. I love these clouds by Paper Smooches, the outline ones are so quirky and fun. Join us this week for some Easter inspiration, clean and simple style.

Sweet Peas or Daisies

Back with you for our latest CAS challenge over at The Outlawz. The theme is to create a birthday card using one of April's flowers - daisy or sweet pea. I remembered having a wonderful set from Doodle Pantry called Daffodil & Sweet Peas that I used the color version of along with a scrap piece of paper from the Bright Smiles Digital Paper Pack. Quick and easy, that's for sure. I've been struggling with wanting to go into my craft room the past few days. I think once this cold finally decides to leave, you'll have to pull me out kicking and screaming!!! Fingers crossed!

Doodle Pantry and OWH

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the Sunday sketch challenge over at Operation Write Home. I really love their sketches, especially the fact they put dimensions on 'em!!! Anyway, here's my card using the adorable Doodle Pantry set Choo Choo (yes, it's from the freebies section). I used the train and digital paper in this set. The sentiment comes from the set Winter Birthday...I just love the font with this adorable train. A perfect little boy birthday card, don't you think?! And a wonderful sketch too. I really must get my rear in gear and get a box of cards mailed out to them. Maybe when I kick this cold I'll do just that. Hope you can join in for the OWH sketch this week.

Other challenges I'd like to submit my card to include:
Love to Create - Anything Goes for Kids
Ooh La La Creations - For a Child
Crafting When we Can - For a Child
Dragonfly Dreams - For the Boys

Sending You Sunshine

Please send sunshine!!! I desperately need warmer temperatures! Yesterday we had snow flurries...please stop!!! This is my card for the CAS challenge over at The Outlawz. Our theme this week is a "two-some challenge" - put 2 of the same thing on your card, clean and simple style of course. Well I have two flowers, two leaves (stamp set and dies by PaperTrey Ink) and two shades of brown. When I made this card I was under the influence of Nyquil (I simply can't kick this cold). When I posted this card in our DT forum, I also said I used 2 pop dots!! What I actually meant was I popped up the two flower centers, not literally 2 pop dots!! Needless to say I got a little harassment about that, all in a loving way. The woodgrain background is clear embossed, giving this card wonderful shine and interest even though it's clean and simple. Sure hope you can join us this week over at The Outlawz

Fresh Brewed Month Long Challenge

Welcome to the latest month long challenge at the Fresh Brewed Blog. You actually get to choose your challenge - sketch, photo inspiration OR both.

Being the sketch lover that I am, I always pick to do the sketch!! Here I used the fun and fabulous Fresh Brewed Designs digital image Happy Easter Eggs. I just have to toot my own horn a little bit with this one...I actually cut this out using my Cameo!!!!!! I just got it and have had fun playing with it. I still can't believe I got this to work, thanks to lots and lots of helpful videos on you tube! Now I'm hoping you'll join us for our month long  Choose Your Challenge over at the Fresh Brewed Blog.

Sweet Easter Wishes

Good morning and welcome back to another installment of fabulousness here at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. We're visiting a blast from the past sketch while Sally gets her sick computer fixed. This is a fun one and I'm sure you'll want to play along.

After all, our sponsor is the very popular Bugaboo Stamps. And our winner will receive 7 free images!! The only down side to that is, it's hard to just pick 7!!

I used this sweetie, Tulip Bunny, for my card. He's perfect for wishing a happy Easter or making you believe spring in on its way. I love that little ladybug in the corner, so cute!! Now I hope you can join us this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

I've Got Horses & Birds, Oh My!

It's April Fools Day, and I'm not kiddin' around, Doodle Pantry is having a new release of some really awesome images!!!  First up is Carousel Horse 3. Isn't he a beauty?!! I love the way he's colored (yes, this is the pre-colored version). Hard to believe I'm saying that since I am so NOT a fan of purple!! And did you notice, I didn't use any digital paper either!! Crazy, I know, cause there's 8 different papers to choose from in this set.

Here's a card using a set previously sold at CDS, Bird Mothers. In a month, if it ever warms up, I'll be getting my hummingbird feeder up and ready for their return. They are so fun to watch, so tiny and oh so fascinating. I love this Mother Teresa quote, so I decided to make it the focal point of my card.

I have to tell you of a devastating accident I had involving these two cards. They were sitting next to my keyboard when clumsy me knocked over my tall mug of hot tea, ruining these two cards! Needless to say I had a bit of a meltdown!! Yes, it spilled onto my keyboard and power cord to my brand new Cameo! And I cried for my two cards!!!!! They were the only things that were ruined for sure. Good thing I had already taken my pictures!!

Don't forget to join us for our challenge over at the Doodle Pantry Blog. It starts at noon eastern time and is anything goes. However, if you use a Doodle Pantry image, you will receive by email absolutely free the adorable set Petite Bouquet. Also, free with any purchase is the sweet set Cute Cake. And, to celebrate Laurie's AND Doodle Pantry's birthdays, if you make a purchase between now and April 10th, you'll get 40% off your entire purchase using the code MYBDAY2U. Some exceptions apply so check it all out HERE.

It's a Gingerbread Christmas

We have a tasty theme for your over at the Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge. This week it's all about yummy gingerbread. And our sponsor this week is pretty sweet too...it's Bugaboo!! I used the adorable Bobblehead Christmas Gingerbread image found HERE. I colored him up with my copic markers and added some Stickles to his icing. I used the Stella Sketch found over at Catch the Bug - check it out HERE. I love sketch challenges and I love Bugaboo, so it was a no brainer to play along!

Other challenges I'm submitting my card to include:
Christmas Card Challenges - favorite coloring medium
Completely Christmas - Anything goes Christmas
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge - Circles
Crimbo Crackers - Anything goes Christmas
