Fresh Brewed Designs 5 Days of Christmas

Welcome back to our 5 days of Christmas digi release at Fresh  Brewed Designs. We've had new Christmas images released all this week, and what fabulous ones they've been! Check out what the DT did this week too on the Fresh Brewed Blog...you're gonna be blown away.

My first card makes use of Mrs. Clause, patiently waiting for her man to come home from a long night's work. She has a plate of cookies and a glass of warm milk as his reward. The sentiment is also from Fresh Brewed Designs and can be found HERE.

My second card uses the image Snow Woman. I think she is so chic, especially with her sassy blue hair!! I love doing Christmas cards in non-traditional colors...and this certainly fits the bill!! I thought this would work to give to that special man in your life...along with your Christmas list!!!

Be sure and comment every day this week on the Fresh Brewed Blog for your chance at some fun and fabulous prizes.

A Bushel of Thanks

Today is my day to get in my stamp room and create. We all need a day like that once in awhile. I have several things due over the next few days that I simply had to buckle down and get them done! Like this card, using the stamp of the month, Apple Market, found at From the Heart. I love the two little kitties, so sweet. I am submitting this into the progressive challenge found at the From the Heart blog HERE. A quick post, I have three more cards to finish up today...wish me luck!!!

Trick or Treat

Happy Hump Day! Welcome back to a new installment at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. Actually, being the last Wednesday of the month, we've pulled out a blast from the past sketch and a twist -- ORANGE. After all, Halloween is but a few days away!!!

Our sponsor this week is the lovely Tracey from The Stamping Boutique. Thank you Tracey for your generosity.

I had the privilege to work with Smoochies Halloween Spider from The Stamping Boutique. Quick and easy to color, perfect for someone lazy like me!! I stamped the pumpkin and sentiment, both from Paper Trey Ink. I had just bought the die for the spiders, so why not pull it out and put it to use! Lots of orange, that's for sure. Hope you can join us this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 for our blast from the past sketch and twist...ORANGE.

Jesus is the Light of the World

It's time for a new challenge at Holly Jolly Christmas, and this time we're playing bingo!! I used an image from Fred She Said, our sponsor -- Christmas Poinsettia Lantern (color version). For the theme, I used glitter, 2 designer papers and die cuts. My glitter is the red glitter paper layered under the sentiment and die cut for the scalloped circle. This went together really fast, once I turned off the TV and concentrated on what I was doing!!! I love having a TV in my craft room, but if I want to get anything done, it must be off!! Sure hope you can join us over the next two weeks at Holly Jolly Christmas.

Happy Halloween

Today's the last day to get in on the party fun over at The Outlawz. There's lots of games and challenges and some really awesome sponsors. Come join us!!!

Being Sunday, it's time for a Clean and Simple challenge, and our theme this week is pumpkins. Any kind of pumpkin will do...so I went with the fun, all dressed up for Halloween, jack-o-lantern. The stamp set and matching dies are from Lawn Fawn, Spooktacular. Quick and easy to color too, so whimsical. Join us for some CAS pumpkin fun over at The Outlawz.

Merry Christmas

Only 61 days until Christmas...and I have one more card to add to my stash!!! The Mix it Up Monday challenge over at Stamp TV was to make a Christmas card. I thought I would give a go at the triple time stamping technique (see video HERE). Mine ended up being way too busy, so I changed up the top layer so now my technique is on double time!! Hahahaha!! Love non-traditional colors too for Christmas cards. This one is brown and khaki. So fun and very quick to create, once you figure out what you're doing!!!

Thank You Berry Much

I find that going to Wal-Mart is always an adventure. I like going first thing in the morning because it isn't crowded. But they only have maybe 3 check outs open with lines of people with very full carts!! I had a return and needed only 3 items and still had to wait in line forever! All I can say is I'm glad when I'm out of there!

I'm also glad to be sharing with you this sweetie from Fresh Brewed Designs, Strawberry Girl Dress Up. Initially I had a Halloween sentiment but decided to switch it up when I found this PTI "thank you berry much." And thanks to this card, I am one piece of designer paper scrap less on my pile!!!! Hahaha!!

Be sure and check out our 5 days of Christmas digi release starting Monday. You'll see something new every day for 5 days...how fun!!! It will all begin on the Fresh Brewed Blog.

Warm Thoughts, Cold Twigs

I had a hard time last night staying focused on making this card with the Steeler game on!! Talk about exciting!!! Snow One Like You

I put my Silhouette to use yesterday, cutting out lots of snowmen for the Gina K Designs set Snow One Like You. I then put them to use on a card for the Mix it up Monday challenge over at Stamp TV - water themed (snow was once water, right?!!!). I got this card done with only minutes to spare for the challenge!!! I used the sketch over at The House That Stamps Built as my building block. Other challenges I'm submitting my card to include:

Fashionable Stamping - Weather Forecast (it's looking snowy here!)
The Glory of Christmas - Snowman
Allsorts - Embossing
Hiding in my Craft Room - Embossing

Bubble, Bubble, Toil and Trouble

That's the theme for our Clean & Simple challenge this week over at The Outlawz - a project that features something on it that you can cook or stir. I used the coffee cup die, sentiment and designer paper from the monthly stamp kit at Simon Says Stamp. I die cut the cup a second time out of red so I could switch out the heart in the middle. I initially then used my Wink of Stella pen on the heart but thought it just wasn't enough sparkle. So I pulled out the Stickles and wish I hadn't. It just overwhelms the red I think. Learn from your mistakes I always say...and don't over do the sparkle!!!!

St. Nick Birdie

Hard as I try, I can't seem to get my life organized!! I've come to the conclusion that it never will be so I might as well just go with it!! I've had this sweet Doodle Pantry image, St. Nick Birdie, not only printed off but die cut as well for quite some time!!! And I'm just now getting it onto a card! I used a Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge for the layout and some snowflake paper I found in my stash. Another Christmas card to add to my stack!

Challenges I'm submitting my card to include:
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge - Use something forgotten or never used (image and dsp)
Little Claire's Designs - Christmas
Polkadoodles - Christmas Fun
Deep Ocean Challenge - Christmas in October
Inky Chicks - Christmas
The Crafty Bloggers Network - Christmas

Thanks

Our latest challenge over at The Fresh Brewed Blog for the next two weeks is the Pumpkin Patch. There are so many wonderful images to choose from at Fresh Brewed Designs with a pumpkin theme. I went with this cutie, Angel Cake Fall Wagon. I used Basic Grey papers (Grand Bazaar) from last month's Simon Says Stamp card kit. Such wonderful colors for a fall card.

This morning I went to our local stamp store and came out with a bag full of goodies. My die cutting machine is going to be busy!!! Can't wait to play.

A Sweet Boo to You!

Check it out, a new fun sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. Sketches are always the perfect tool for when you get "stuck" for a design.

Our sponsor this week is Digi Stamp Boutique. So many adorable images to choose from, so go and take a look for yourself!

I actually went with the freebie from last month, Cute Ghost. Even the sentiment came with it! I had to flip my sketch a bit so I could use the sentiment to cover up a mark on my cardstock. Now it's your turn to WOW us with your creativity and inspiration at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

Thanks Snow Much

Yes, thanks for putting up with my absence. My back is feeling better and I am getting back in the groove of stamping. It's time for a new challenge at Holly Jolly Christmas --Snowmen, something I totally love using on a Christmas/Winter card. This sweetie is from Bugaboo, Winter Birds Snowman. I wanted the image to be large and the absolute main focal point of this, so I made it a 4.25" square card. I hope you can join us over the next two weeks at Holly Jolly Christmas for some snowman fun!!

A Quick Thank You Card

Hooray, I made it into my stamp room again today! And sitting on my desk (because I'm not known for putting things away!!) was my current Stamp TV Kit from Gina K Designs. I went to work using the stamp set A Bounty of Blessings, stamping the leaves of the tree in Sweet Corn then tapping Faded Brick over it in spots. Love that affect. Since the challenge for the Stamp TV Kit Addicts this month is ribbon, I added a bit along with a wood veneer leaf tied with gold cord. A simple card, just the way I like it!!!

A Bounty of Blessings

This is the first I've been in my stamp room in such a long time!!! I've been nursing a bad back and finally have started feeling better...so why not make a card!! This one is for a challenge over at Stamp TV to use the current kit, The Simple Things, and ribbon from it. I used the wheat, in honey mustard ink, as well as the second generation stamping. Love the subtle shadow and illusion of depth. I also love the brown, turquoise and mustard color palette of the  designer paper. Fun to get my craft on again!!
