Just Saying Hello...and Goodbye

I couldn't resist creating with these cutie ants from Doodle Pantry...oh how they make me smile! Now what makes me sad is Doodle Pantry will be closing their doors at the end of the year (sniff, sniff!!). There is a huge sale going on until 11pm eastern time tomorrow, December 31 -- read all about it on the Doodle Pantry Blog. Take advantage of the 75% off savings for all your favorite Doodle Pantry images. My image and papers actually are from a freebie set called Viola Ants (look for it HERE). I've been so consumed with holiday cards it was nice to make something springy!! Don't miss out on the final days of Doodle Pantry and stock up!!

Thanks Snow Much

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Because it's such a busy time of year, our CAS challenge over at The Outlawz is Anything Goes. Sometimes that's more difficult because the sky's the limit!!! I wanted to try some foiling so I pulled out a sheet of these snowflake foil-mates from Gina K Designs and went to it! I had four different colors of foil so 4 cards it is!! Yes, they are VERY simple, but I've been running on empty where my mojo is concerned so these ended up being just perfect. Now I have some holiday thank you cards. The fun sentiment is from the Snow Birdie set by Doodle Pantry. If you find yourself with a little free time this week, I hope you can join us at The Outlawz for a CAS challenge of Anything Goes.

Santa Mickey

This week at The Outlawz our Clean & Simple challenge is to create a card showcasing our perfect holiday destination. Since hubby and I just came back from there, I think Disney World is the perfect holiday destination. The parks and resorts are all decorated so beautifully. It is definitely a magical (and warm) place to be!! I cheated and printed off this image because I was running out of time to get my project done!! So quick and easy! Now we look forward to seeing what you create for our destination CAS challenge over at The Outlawz.

Celebrate the Season

Thursdays over at Catch the Bug mean seeing cards using Oldie Bug Goodie Bugaboo images. Yes, I'm still working on Christmas cards...now all I need to do is get them in the mail too!!! My Bugaboo image is Christmas Sunbonnet Candy Cane. I cut her out using my Scan N Cut with every intention to use her on a different project. Well obviously that didn't happen so I put her to work here!! My background was created using the Stitched Whirl Background die from Simon Says Stamp and the stitched rectangle die found in the Blueprints 13 by My Favorite Things. The sentiment is from the Holiday Tree stamp set by Paper Trey Ink. And yes, I pulled out some washi tape to use, something I don't do often enough!!

Puppy Wishes

Would you just look at this cutie!!!!! He is part of several newly released sets from Imagine That Digistamp. This is Dachshund Christmas and definitely a must have for all animal lovers! There's even a birthday version that you can find HERE. I pulled out some scraps and kept this very simple...just the way I like it!! Be sure and head over to the Creative Playground to see what other DT members have created for inspiration.

Wishing You Joy

We have a fun new CAS challenge over at The Outlawz - create a card with music or a musical instrument on it. I am so far behind on everything Christmas that I knew I had to make a holiday card. I printed up several of these French Horn images from Doodle Pantry so I can assembly line create a few more cards. The background is the Stitched Whirl Background die cut from Simon Says Stamp. I just got it and couldn't wait to use it. Now just a few more to create then I'm on to addressing them! I may get all my Christmas stuff done before the holidays this year!!!!!

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2

Yes, I'm late...very, very late! Being away last week has put me behind this week! Anyway, here's our latest sketch for you at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. Give it a try!!

Our generous sponsor for this challenge is Lacy Sunshine. The winner will receive 3 images of their choice from Lacy Sunshine!!

Here's my card, using Patchy Penny's Snowflake. I had a pattern paper pack right on my desk which gave me the inspiration for this color combination. This one seems to be a trend for me lately!! Be sure and join us at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 over the next two weeks for a great sketch and fun prize.

New Release at Imagine That Digistamps

Imagine That Digistamps is having a new release of some really sweet sets. Be sure and check 'em out along with DT samples over at the Creative Playground. I couldn't resist using this adorable penguin from the new set Kimmie's Reindeer Friend. And just so you know, from now until Friday, this and the other newly released sets are 50% off!!! Great time to stock up and save.

Day 5 - Funny Photo Inspiration

It's day 5 of our Holiday Chaos over at Catch the Bug and today we are going with a photo inspiration to create a holiday card.

For my card I used JJ Christmas Cheer - 'Tis the Season from Bugaboo. She is my kind of lady!! Now show us your humor as inspired by the photo above and join us for Day 5 of our Holiday Chaos over at Catch the Bug.

Holiday Chaos Day 4

Yep, it's Day 4 of our Holiday Chaos celebration at Catch the Bug. Today the challenge is to keep it simple and no pattern paper...WAIT, NO PATTERN PAPER???!!! How am I ever going to make a card without pattern paper?!!! Hahahaha!! I do love my pattern papers! I did manage though and used this newly released Bugaboo image, Ornament Elf, too. When I started colored this adorable elf, I really thought I was going to keep the whole color scheme green and red, but then I added a pop of pink and aqua and so glad I did. There's still the traditional red/greed but with a little of the non-traditional colors I so enjoy. Now it's your turn to share your clean and simple with no pattern paper creation with us at Catch the Bug.

JOY

Welcome back to our latest challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. Another fabulous sketch that I hope you can join us for. I had way too many ideas for this one that it was hard to narrow it down to just one!!

So here it is, using a Paper Trey Ink set called Take Three Winter. Initially I wanted to keep it blue, white and silver but it seemed so blah. Then I added a few pops of red and that's when I began to feel the joy!! Play along with us at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge for fun, especially if you love sketches as much as I do!!

Holiday Chaos Day 3 - Anything but a Card

Welcome back to day 3 of our Holiday Chaos celebration at Catch the Bug. Monday means anything but a card day so we want to see you create a gift tag AND include red & white stripes.  My Bugaboo image is Christmas Brat Girl Candy Cane which I cut out with my Scan N Cut. Her hat and candy cane are all sparkle, but, unfortunately, I couldn't pick it up in the picture. I used the scrap piece of red & white striped pattern paper to ground my cute little sitting girl. My tag was die cut using the set Tag Buddies by CAS-ual Fridays. I didn't have much room for the to/from so I put it on the back of the tag. Then, when I think I'm all done, I see a spot of something on the front of the tag...so the "joy" sentiment circle was a necessary cover-up!! Problem solved.

Now let's see your gift tags with some red & white stripes for our Holiday Chaos celebration over at Catch the Bug

Holiday Chaos Day 2 - Sketch

It's day 2 of the Holiday Chaos celebration at Catch the Bug. We have a sketch for you to try, and you know how much I love sketches!!!

My card made use of the adorable Snowman 001 from Bugaboo. The blue and red really popped out at me so a patriotic Christmas card it became!! Now it's your turn to share your creation using the sketch for our day 2 Holiday Chaos celebration over at Catch the Bug.

Holiday Chaos - Day 1 - All That Sparkles

Welcome to day 1 of our Holiday Chaos celebration at Catch the Bug! How perfect to get those final Christmas cards done. Our theme today is All That Sparkles - create something that sparkles. Now as you know, I am not much of a glitter girl (GASP, I know), but I was still able to get some sparkle with Stickles on the ornaments and glitter paper. My Bugaboo image is the adorable Clyde's Christmas (color version). Now be sure to come back tomorrow for a sketch challenge, a true favorite of mine.

Joys of the Season

We have a new challenge starting this month at the Creative Playground -- and it's a photo inspiration challenge. So much to draw inspiration from with this one!!

I was immediately drawn to the big Christmas tree so I used the Tree With Presents image from Imagine That Digistamp. The ornament paper is also from Imagine That Digistamp, Merry & Bright. This paper pack I use A LOT so it comes highly recommended!! My plan was to include 3 gold brads along the bottom right but I put my card together and realized I totally forgot 'em!! Three little gold stickers to the rescue!! I hope you can join us this month at the Creative Playground for some photo inspiration fun.

Warmest Wishes

How amazing, it's December 1st already!!! And that means a new Ants in my Pantry Digital Challenge over at the Doodle Pantry Blog. For my card I used the Doodle Pantry set called Bitty Christmas. Actually, I had this image printed off and in my Doodle Pantry folder for a previous project that never got done!! I seem to do that often! The background is the stamp set Simply Snowflakes from My Favorite Things white heat embossed then cut out with a stitched rectangle die. Quick, easy, and fun to make. Now it's your turn to join us for our Ants in my Pantry Digital Challenge at the Doodle Pantry Blog.

Meowy Mousemas

I am really on a roll making Christmas cards!! Maybe I'll have enough done to send to all my family and friends!!! This one makes use of the adorable Imagine That Digistamp set called Meowy Mousemas. So sweet!!  I hit up my scrap pile yet again and found just the right papers. Now head on over to the Creative Playground to see what other members of the Imagine That design team have whipped up to share with you today! You won't be disappointed.
