I immediately thought Christmas when I saw this, thinking of an ornament wreath. So I punched and die cut out two different sizes of circles from fun glitter paper (I seem to be hooked on green and blue together!). My sentiment is from the stamp set The Big, The Bold, and The Merry by Winnie & Walter. Talk about quick and easy!!! My kind of card, and perfect for mass producing! Join us for some sketchy fun at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.
Today is Bubble Wrap Day!! Who knew bubble wrap had its own day! Anyway, over at The Outlawz, our CAS challenge is to incorporate bubble wrap into our clean and simple project. I decided to create my own background with my bubble wrap, using it as a stamp so to speak. I was inspired by the Ink Layering Technique from a video by Jennifer McGuire. She used stencils to achieve her wonderful backgrounds but I decided to try using bubble wrap. The first layer I inked up bubble wrap with white ink and stamped it onto my cardstock then heat set it. Then I got a whole new piece of bubble wrap and inked it up with a coordinating ink, stamping it a little off set from the white images. What a fun effect. I made two backgrounds for that "just in case I goof up royally" but they both turned out okay. I heat embossed the sentiments (All Occasion Sentiments from My Favorite Things) then popped 'em up for a bit of dimension. Wow, would you look at that, two cards for the price of one!! Before you pop all those bubbles, create something with that bubble wrap and share it with us at The Outlawz.
Can you tell I'm on a diet, all I can think about is food!!! I miss ice cream, cookie dough and my Starbucks the most!! I'm just a little crabby is all but so far I'm already down a little over 10 pounds and looking towards the prize...a new wardrobe!!!!!
We have a new challenge this week at Catch the Bug, a color challenge. Time to have some fun and join us for your chance at winning some Bugaboo images of your very own!!
It's time for a Freebie Friday image from Bugaboo, and here it is...Raggedy Critters - Monkey. How sweet!! Quick to color too, which is a good thing for someone like me who isn't very fond of coloring!! My card could not be more simple---a few layers, a piece of scrap pattern paper and a simple sentiment. Perfect recipe for card making at my house!! Scoop up your freebie today from Bugaboo and get creating! Check out what other design team members created with this sweetie over at Catch the Bug.
Yes, thank you for putting up with me and my three day absence. I've been putting in extra hours at work in the evenings plus trying to keep up with all the "mother" stuff during the days and have no time to play. I did get some crafty time in a bit ago to create my No Pattern Paper card for the CAS challenge at The Outlawz. Believe it or not, I'm the one who came up with this challenge!!!!! It was a tough one because I LOVE my pattern paper. The vellum flowers were die cut using the Stitched Flowers Die-namics from My Favorite Things. The sentiment is from the More Sketchy Banner Greetings found at Simon Says Stamps. I sure hope you can join us for our CAS challenge of no pattern paper at The Outlawz.
Day 5 of our Under the Sea birthday celebration for Bugaboo is to make a "funny" birthday card. Be sure and play along with all our challenges over at Catch the Bug for your chance at some Bugaboo goodies!!

Mondays at Catch the Bug usually mean Anything But a Card. I found a video on You Tube for this Kisses Gift Card Holder and decided to give it a try. It was easy to do, and that's coming from someone who doesn't like to make anything but a card!! My image is from the sweet BugabooMini Set AKV Under the Sea. Now I hope you can join us for our color challenge today (you're allowed to make a card!!) at Catch the Bug.
Day 2 of our Bugaboo birthday celebration involves a sketch...my favorite kind of challenge!!

And what a fabulous way to use up some pattern papers...score!!! Join us for Day 2 of our birthday celebration over at Catch the Bug, you just may be the big winner!!!
Sunday means it's time for a new CAS challenge at The Outlawz. This week we are to use stars on our projects! I lucked out and found this colorful star paper. I decided to then die cut a few more and pop 'em up over my sentiment banner. Quick, easy and fun! Perfect for mailing too. Join us for a star studded challenge over at The Outlawz.
Happy 7th Birthday Bugaboo!! Now we couldn't let this fun celebration go by without a week of challenges. Check 'em out at the Bugaboo blog, Catch the Bug. Today it's a Photo Inspiration challenge.
Here's my card using AKV Summer Sports - Scuba Diving. I was inspired by the overall theme of being under the sea. I found a piece of this adorable fishy pattern paper in my stash...how perfect!! Now join us for day 1 of our Under the Sea birthday celebration at Catch the Bug for a photo inspiration challenge.
How fun, I found this Bugaboo image, already colored, on my very messy desk and decided to put it on a card! I pulled out some scraps of pattern paper too in my forever hope of clearing 'em out!! I don't think that will ever happen though. This sweet cowgirl from Bugaboo is now retired, having been part of the AKV (A Kids View) collection. Head on over to Catch the Bug to see what other members of the DT created using oldie but goodie Bugaboo images.
Only 2 more days until Bugaboo's Under the Sea Birthday Bash begins!! Be there for some wonderful prizes!!
What is steampunk you ask...well it's a "subgenre of science fiction that incorporates technology and aesthetic designs inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery". Steampunk is also part of the new release from Image That Digistamp!!! This is Steampunk Lizzie all geared up wishing someone an amazing birthday! There is also a boy version, Steampunk Sam. The pattern paper is from the new Steampunk 2 paper pack...a must have with these fabulous images. And if you bundle up and purchase both Steampunk Lizzie and Steampunk Sam, you will receive the papers FREE!!! That is one amazing offer!!!
The Bugaboo design team is back to work with an Anything Goes challenge at Catch the Bug. I'm going to try to create with images I've had printed off for quite some time now...another scrap pile to see if I can make smaller!!! This is the sweet Bugaboo image Clown Numbers - Four. I know a darling little boy who is turning 4 in a few months that I will give this card to! See there, I'm ahead of the game already!!!! Hahaha, if only it would last!!! Join us this week at Catch the Bug for our Anything Goes challenge. And mark your calendar starting next Saturday for our Under the Sea Bugaboo Birthday Bash (try and say that 3 time fast!)!!!
Welcome back to the monthly challenge at Creative Playground. We are changing things up a bit for the new year!! Play along with our challenge using an Imagine That Digistamp image and you will receive and adorable digi set FREE!!! Before I get into that, let me tell you about my card. I've used the sweet Llama Love set because it's so darn cute!! And those sentiments...FABULOUS!!! My two pattern papers came from, you guessed it, my scrap pile!
Here is Lorie's Seeds of Love, the set you will receive FREE for linking up a project at the Creative Playground or our Facebook group in January. It's also available for purchase HERE at Imagine That Digistamp. Talk about adorable!!!
It's Inspiration Thursday over at the Imagine That Digistamp blog, Creative Playground. I couldn't resist playing with the sweet set Dog Sledding. Don't these two look like they're having the time of their lives?!!! Playing in the snow used to be so much fun as a kid. Now that I'm an adult...not so much!!! I prefer staying inside and warm. Be sure and check out what other members of the Imagine That Digistamp design team created for inspiration over at the Creative Playground.
Here's my take on the sketch...and yes, I'm still making Christmas cards!!!!! What is wrong with me?!! Hahaha!! I certainly went out of the box with the colors on this one, using the new inks from Catherine Pooler's Foundation Box. The trees are from Paper Trey Ink, Joyful Christmas. The sentiment and die set are also from Paper Trey Ink, Jingle All the Way. I rubbed the ink pads on some card stock then cut them out with the chevron die for a perfect match. A crazy take on the sketch I know but I kinda like it!!! Already starting my stash of Christmas cards for 2017!! Join us for some sketchy fun at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.
One of these days I will stop making Christmas cards...but obviously today is not that day!! This is my card for the "sparkle" CAS challenge we have going on at The Outlawz. Yes, I borrowed the idea for the layout from Jennifer McGuire (check out her video HERE). The pine die cut has been sitting on my desk for quite some time, begging me to put it on a card!! And the sparkly ornament is a new die I just got from Gina Marie Designs. The sentiment is from Paper Trey Ink, 'Tis the Season. Very quick and easy to make. May have to make a few more!! Please join us for some sparkly fun over at The Outlawz, CAS style.
